Farewell and Blessings to our Chief Missionary…

As the world watched, a small group of directors and coordinators of the Pontifical Mission Societies had a bird’s eye view of the last week in the Pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI.

In Rome at the CIAM (Center for Mission Animation of the Pontifical Mission Societies), set on the hill overlooking the Vatican, these members of our mission family, led by National Director Father Andrew Small, OMI, focused on the key formation topics, learning about their role and responsibilities in U.S. dioceses. They also heard from the international staff of the Pontifical Mission Societies about plans and priorities for mission support – support you so generously offer, sustaining the outreach to the poor and most vulnerable in 1,150 mission dioceses.
