Congratulations MISSION Magazine

For the second consecutive year, MISSION magazine has received the National Catholic Development Conference's LUMEN AWARD for excellence in the ministry of fundraising.

The Lumen Awards were created to acknowledge excellence in the ministry of fundraising and to enrich the Catholic development community through sharing this excellence. The Latin term lumen, meaning light, was chosen as the name of the award to represent the vision and clarity fundraisers must strive for while promoting their missions.

The Lumen Award, a candlestick, celebrates the visible efforts of those doing God’s work in the world. Those holding the light set an example to follow and enlighten the Catholic fundraising community through their good works.

Mission Lessons

Launched in May 2008, The Pontifical Mission Societies now offers "Mission Lessons," a series of audio messages designed to teach and inspire. “Mission Lessons” feature Monsignor Kozar reflecting on what he has seen on visits to the Developing World – the life-giving service of priests, Religious Sisters and Brothers, and laycatechists – and on what he has learned from missionaries. The 60-second spots then relate those experiences to the “lessons” they hold for the everyday lives of listeners. Click here to listen to "Mission Lessons." To order a free CD of Volumes 2, 3 or 4 please call 1-800-431-2222, Ext. 709.
